JAMES & ELYSE WILLEMS are a husband and wife creative duo based in Los Angeles, California.
For almost a decade, James and Elyse spearheaded Rooster Teeth’s comedy gaming channel FUNHAUS (2015-2024), developing and performing in thousands of hours of video and live content, earning the FUNHAUS YouTube channel over 1.6 billion views, and leaving a lasting legacy in gaming entertainment. It was also during this time that, under the Warner Media umbrella and alongside a talented crew of writers and directors, Elyse and James co-wrote, directed, and starred in ARIZONA CIRCLE (2019), an 8-episode sketch series with comedic takes on horror films and tropes like demonic possessions, alien abductions, haunted dolls, witch trials, serial killers, fortune tellers, and even a dark and bloody reimagining of Weekend at Bernie’s (1989).
Together, James and Elyse have co-written two video games; GHOSTBUSTERS: SPIRITS UNLEASHED (2022), and ARCADEGGEDON (2021). They are contributing writers and voiceover directors on the upcoming HALLOWEEN: THE VIDEO GAME (2026), an adaptation of the 1978 John Carpenter classic.
