ELYSE WILLEMS is a writer, producer, and performer, born in Canada and living in Los Angeles. While she shines in any situation where she can don a mustache and wig, Elyse brings her comedic chops and creative talents to a myriad of work, behind-the-scenes and in front of the camera.
WRITING
Elyse has co-written several video games for game studio and publisher Illfonic, including: GHOSTBUSTERS: SPIRITS UNLEASHED (2022); ARCADEGGEDON (2021); and the upcoming HALLOWEEN: THE VIDEO GAME (2026), an adaptation of the 1978 John Carpenter classic. She considers her stint writing corny jokes to be delivered by the Mistress of the Dark herself, Elvira, in KILLER KLOWN FROM OUTERSPACE: THE VIDEO GAME, a career highlight. Keeping Halloween in her heart all-year-round, Elyse is also the author of A NIGHT IN HALLOWEEN HOUSE, a nostalgic holiday adventure, which reached #1 in Children’s Halloween Releases on Amazon
DIRECTING
Elyse spearheaded the 8-episode sketch comedy series ARIZONA CIRCLE (2019), directing several sketches and and providing oversight to the other series directors. In October 2025, she directed Ashly Burch’s 7-episode YouTube series I’M HAPPY YOU’RE HERE (2025), designed to educate millennials about therapy, via honest conversation and light puppet humor.
HOSTING & PODCASTING
Elyse currently hosts and produces ANSWER FOR IT, a comedy trivia podcast, and 30 MORBID MINUTES, a macabre infotainment podcast. She is the face of PBS SoCal’s WON’T YOU BE MY GAMER, interviewing experts and professionals pulled from every field imaginable. Elyse is a veteran on-camera host, having hosted multiple projects for Square Enix, GameTrailers, Warner Bros, SXSW, IndieCade, and more.
PRODUCING & PERFORMING
Elyse got her start at GAMETRAILERS and Spike TV’s GT.TV WITH GEOFF KEIGHLEY as a production assistant turned segment producer turned on-camera creator. In 2015, her love of comedy brought her to the gaming channel FUNHAUS, where she spent just over nine years developing and performing in thousands of hours of video and live content, earning the FUNHAUS YouTube channel over 1.6 billion overall views, and leaving a lasting legacy in gaming entertainment.
